Emergencies often happen in the home. Do you know the emergency numbers? What should I do if I have a febrile seizure? Stable lateral position, 30 to 2? What is a chain of rescue? Learn CPR and defibrillation. Our instructors are professionals in their field and will give you all the knowledge you need for emergency situations.

BLS-AED-SRC-Compact
(Basic Provider)

  • Recognising and assessing emergency situations, including heart attack and stroke

  • Problem solving in emergency situations

  • Positioning the unconscious

  • Procedures using the BLS-AED-SRC 2021 algorithm

  • Basic skills training (initial assessment, chest compressions, ventilation, defibrillation using an AED for adults and children)

  • Risk factors and prevention
  • Chain of survival
  • Basic CPR for adults and children
  • Respiration with and without equipment
  • Defibrillation with an AED
  • Stable lateral position
  • Heimlich manoeuvre
  • Fall scenario training

Duration

  • 2h theory and 2h practice = total 4h

Certification

  • BLS-AED-SRC-Complete (Generic Provider)

  • Valid for 2 years

BLS AED PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS

This course module covers a wide range of topics specifically for you as a child carer. It will help you to be prepared for emergencies.

BLS-AED-SRC-Complete Basic Module

with additional neonatal, child and adolescent module

  • Differences between child and adult (anatomy)
  • Assessing an emergency situation
  • Alerting the emergency services
  • Most common emergencies: Airway obstruction, febrile seizures, burns, poisoning, etc.
  • Cardiac arrest and resuscitation
  • Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SID)
  • Hands-on training (ventilation, dressing, stabilisation, assessment)
  • Implementation and application of theoretical learning
  • Emergency interventions until professional help arrives.
